📌 Context

Vayah Vikas is a non-profit initiative that empowers senior citizens to live fulfilling lives with dignity. The goal was to create a homepage that feels welcoming, trustworthy, and community-focused, while also making it easy for seniors and their families to explore offerings like memberships, events, and resources.

❌ Problem

• The existing digital presence didn’t fully reflect the warmth and vibrancy of the community.
• Information about membership, events, and articles was scattered, making it harder for users (especially seniors) to engage.
• The brand needed a homepage that could build trust quickly and communicate its vision in a clear and friendly way.

🎨 Design Direction

• Empathy-driven design — Used warm colors, large typography, and clear CTAs to make the page accessible and senior-friendly.
• Trust through numbers — Metrics (60k+ seniors reached, 500+ partners, etc.) were highlighted early to establish credibility.
• Community emphasis — Showcased real people, activities, and testimonials to convey belonging.
• Content hierarchy — Structured the homepage so that users move smoothly from awareness (hero + mission) → engagement (events, articles, membership) → trust (stories, testimonials).

The design systematically maps the user journey across distinct visual segments:

• Impact Metrics – Quick stats to establish scale and trust.

The Vayah Vikas homepage demonstrates how design for social impact can balance accessibility, warmth, and professionalism. Even as a single-page contribution, it shows how thoughtful hierarchy and empathetic visuals can turn a website into a welcoming front door for a community.
